About Flowers And Love

As the title suggests, this series of works centers on love. It speaks of empathy and support, and the vital importance of understanding and accepting those close to us exactly as they are. Woven into the pieces are irony and self-deprecation, depicting the grotesque and the absurdities of life. Love is presented as a space where the distinction between identities dissolves—it belongs to everyone, everywhere, regardless of who or where they may be.

The flowers in this series are not merely decorative objects; they serve as a visual metaphor for questions of identity, emotion, and human fragility. They bleed into human figures, merging with them or even replacing them entirely, blurring the boundary between nature and consciousness. Through the observation of these flowers, a space opens to contemplate the human condition—our loves, fears, and hopes. These flowers do not simply concern themselves with beauty or aesthetics; they invite the viewer to delve into human complexity, inner existence, and the relationship between the body, emotion, and the internal landscape.

The technique employed is exceptionally minimalist and abstract, emphasizing the fragility and delicacy of these situations. Every line, much like every word, has the power to dramatically shift meaning—whether on paper or within the dialogue of a relationship.

This series was created during a challenging era of pandemic, civil chaos, and war. By conscious intent, the artist avoided these subjects. This is a choice of escape, but also one of hope and understanding: the realization that while hardships pass, flowers and love remain.
